What is Restorative Yoga?

Restorative yoga is a practice of connection with our Self, performed mainly through postures held for longer periods of time and using yoga props in a systematic way, which favors the process of relaxation, restoration and rest of the body and mind, and has a powerful effect on health and well-being in our lives, by reducing stress levels caused by the hectic pace in which we live, many discomforts or diseases caused by stress can begin to be relieved or reversed.

Description and Objectives

This is an intensive classroom course where you will learn the integral dimension of yoga from the practice of Restorative Yoga,

Through the knowledge of yoga and restorative yoga, anatomy, physiology, and practice you will be able to internalize a practice that will help you to have better health and well-being and a better perspective of life, which you will also be able to share through teaching.

What will you learn?

The 4 areas of study are:

  • Fundamental Concepts of Yoga and Restorative Yoga.
  • Applied Anatomy and Physiology.
  • Restorative Yoga in Practice.
  • Methodology and Practice of Teaching.
All this with a unique and effective methodology, and with different tools to internalize yoga in theory and practice.

At the end of this course you will be able to teach Restorative Yoga classes in a safe and effective way and experience the benefits of this practice in yourself and others.

Recommended for practitioners and teachers of Yoga or any person who feels the call to deepen and the call to deepen and understand the yogic path.

What will you receive?

Asanas sequence

Complete series of restorative postures
lasting one hour.

Study manual

You will receive the manual with techniques,
anatomy and theory taught in the course.

This is a 50-hour course.
Upon successful completion of the course you will receive a Bhakti Yoga School Certification and may be eligible to register with Yoga Alliance, an internationally recognized certification.

During the five days of this experience

Each day you will participate in therapeutic yoga classes, focusing on the development of inner sensitivity, conscious breathing and body alignments necessary to give a Thai massage. In addition, you will experience daily Pranayama, Meditation and yogic philosophy, cultivating inner awareness and surrender as channels of divine love.

Schedule

  • 7:30am Meditation, pranayama, kirtan ashram and yoga philosophy program.
  • 9am Breakfast.
  • 10am-12pm Philosophy and theory.
  • 12pm-1:30pm Restorative yoga practice.
  • 1:30 – 3:30pm Lunch and break.
  • 3:30 – 4pm Dynamic self-awareness activities.
  • 4pm – 5:30pm Theory and Practice.
  • 5:30 – 6:30pm Integration time.
  • 6:30pm Evening Bhakti Yoga meditation or other activities, ceremonies.
  • 7pm Dinner.
